Welcome to the Board of Engineers (BoE) application!
The BoE fills the gap between the responsibilities of a traditional Board of Directors and a loosely affiliated Board of Advisors. The BoE is comprised of a growing group of smart, enthusiastic young professionals who believe in the work of Blue Engine and supports Blue Engine in three key ways: Fundraising, Awareness Building and Program Capacity Support.
Three simple expectations for the BoE:
- Every BoE member has a give/get goal of $1000/year. We provide lots of creative options for fundraising.
- Every BoE member should plan on to attend and/or listen to 1 BoE call per quarter (4 per year), which we will keep to 1 hour or less. These calls update members on Blue Engine and the BoE and provide them with additional chances to get involved through Action Teams (see the unique structure of the BoE, above) as their time permits.
- Every BoE member is encouraged to get involved in Blue Engine and the Board through Action Teams that “speak” to their interests, even if it’s just once or twice a year.
