Emily Walsh (she/her/hers)

Emily works on the Learning and Design team and focuses on building resources that support Blue Engine’s work internally. She also thinks a lot about how to creatively showcase all the incredible work BE is doing in schools, on behalf of students to an external audience. She’s been with BE for over seven years on the program implementation side, working on the ground with teachers and students. She loves that she gets to bring that perspective to her work everyday as she thinks about how to make products as valuable, intuitive, and accessible as possible for all users.

What is your unique genius? How do you bring it to your work at Blue Engine?

I’m both curious and empathetic. I think that this combination allows me to build relationships in an authentic way and really get to the root of people’s needs and challenges.

What is it like working on a team at Blue Engine?

It’s deeply collaborative, challenging, and meaningful. Everyone on the Blue Engine team wants to do right by our partners and students and that shows up in our work together. We push each other and we don’t cut corners. We value learning at every turn and as we each individually grow, our collective work advances. Plus everyone is FUN…we have a lot of fun together.
