What is your unique genius? How do you bring it to your work at Blue Engine?
I bring a very unique perspective to my work. I have the experience from teaching grades 2-8 and coaching teachers from 6th grade to High School and work hard to build trusting relationships with teachers. I’ve also been a department head, a data specialist, an administrator and a board member of a school so I understand the challenges from this perspective as well. I also just love working with my team, they bring me energy and joy so I do whatever I can to support the team.
What is it like working on a team at Blue Engine?
Blue Engine is a team like no other. I get to work with a group of educators that care deeply about students while also wanting to change the educational experience for marginalized students in this country. We want students to be engaged and successful. We also want teachers to feel successful. There is so much collaboration with one another which can be a challenge, especially virtually but our common vision of what learning could and would be, guides us.
